La Campanella
La Campanella (Italian: bell) is a studio for piano composed by pianist and composer Franz Liszt. The study is No. 3 on the Big Études de Paganini and is written in the key of G sharp minor. The play is based on a theme of the last part of the Violin Concerto No. 2 Paganini in B minor, a rondo in which harmony was reinforced by the sound of a bell.
La Campanella, is played with a fast pace and in practice he breaks his right hand in larger intervals of an octave.
The work can be studied to increase dexterity and accuracy at large jumps on the keyboard, and to strengthen the weaker fingers of the hand. It is a very challenging technically.
